Ty Perry hails from Cass City, a Mayberry-esque village in the Thumb of Michigan. The sixth generation of his family to call the little town home, studying local history is one of his favorite pursuits... along with drinking tea, reading biographies, and talking with people about the Lord, Israel, good books, and other things that matter.
A regular contributor to Israel My Glory Magazine, Ty speaks around the country, teaching about God’s unique relationship with the Jewish people and the need for Christian support of Israel.
Ty is a monthly columnist for The Cass City Chronicle and is the author of a children's book, The Story of Your Town: A Student's Guide to Cass City's History. A former freelance writer for The Tuscola County Advertiser, his work has appeared on the blogs of The Times of Israel and The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry.
Since 2020, he has hosted Gesher, a program dedicated to bridging the gap (Gesher is Hebrew for "bridge") between the Evangelical Christian community and the Jewish community.
A graduate of The Institute of Jewish Studies, Ty holds a B.A. in Journalism & Media Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Ty lives in Michigan with his wife Elisabeth and their two children. There, he serves as a field representative with The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, a Christian ministry that proclaims biblical truth about Israel and the Messiah, while bringing physical and spiritual comfort to the Jewish people. You can read about his ministry role here.
